Anatomy of a Tween Girl’s Bedspread: Jonathan Adler’s Katie Quilt Set from JCPenney is Put to the Test!

I have a 12 year old. And I can say with complete certainty that she has very specific likes and dislikes. For one she dislikes the princess quilt she’s had since she was seven and has been begging me to exchange it for one that is more mature. I have been dragging my heels on this and have come up with a litany of excuses as to why I didn’t or couldn’t get her a new quilt.

Of course if I allowed myself to dig deeper I’m sure my procrastination is more about me than about circumstance and the fact that I guess somewhere in the recesses of my mind I thought if I kept that princess cover on her bed- I could still keep her my little girl. For me that cover represented everything I longed to hold onto.. and everything that she was ready to relinquish. So WE TOOK THE PLUNGE thanks to JCPenney and  Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler Katie Quilt Set $160!

And as her mama I know this is the best thing for her– and she is SO happy. And that , well, that makes me happy. Oh and we are definitely going to be perusing JCPenney for more decorating ideas starting with their Holiday Gift Guide + Décor and their  Fall trends.
