As I head into 2017 I am determined to take stock of the extraneous things I need to purge from my life and those I need to hold dear- and STOP APOLOGIZING FOR! And since a weekly Challenge is good for the soul- here are 10 things I WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR:
#2 Sitting on the couch for an entire weekend binge-watching NETFLIX. THE A.O.- NUFF SAID.
It takes a village of caring individuals to rescue these majestic creatures with whom we share our world. And each time I witness another life saved I feel so proud to call these people my friends. If you can't foster, volunteer and if you can't volunteer share and donate. I can pretty much promise you it will be money more than well spent.
#3 Posting every single picture of every dog and cat who is in a shelter and needs to find their furever home. I am after all the volunteer coordinator for Louie's Legacy and giving dogs like Chubby their freedom rides is about as good as it gets.
#4 Wearing my hair curly ( and NOT getting it Japanese Straightened). If you see me- PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME HOW MUCH PRETTIER I WILL LOOK WITH STRAIGHT HAIR. I am Jewish, this is my hair- DEAL WITH IT.
#5 My need to vent about how much I abhor working out and how hungry I am all the time.
#6 BEING HONEST with everyone all the time. Cause, Aint nobody got time for PHONINESS.
#7 Sharing videos of my son PLAYING the PIANO. ( I should at least get some nachas out of the deal considering that my daughter equates it with TORTURE.)
#8 Posting pictures of my dogs ALL DAY LONG. I can't help it if they are cute.
#9 The need to talk about the fact that I am 43 ( almost 44) years old. I guess the more I say it out loud the more it will sink in.
#10 My desire to constantly bring up the fact that I send my kids' to public school. I keep thinking if I say it enough it will somehow help me forget the fact that I toiled for years to pay for private school.
