Thank you to the makers of 5-hour™ TEA shots for sponsoring this post.
I feel blessed to have two kids and wouldn’t trade 99 percent of the moments I’ve shared with them. But I’ll be honest: when we’re smack in the thick of the witching hour, aka anytime that both of them are clamoring for my attention and talking over each other, I wish for the ability to twinkle my nose like Samantha of Bewitched and be transported anywhere other than between the two of them.
Some days I just feel completely depleted of energy trying to keep up with the demands of my kids, who like most, live in egocentric realities. Between tackling all the simple tasks of housework, meal prep, and quality one-on-one face time, there are days when at 5 p.m. when I find myself dozing off while standing up and stirring their pasta.
Moms, if anything I’m writing is resonating with you, then it’s time you honored your spirit and soul by creating your unique toolbox. Essentially your mom toolbox needs to contain all the small and big items that will help you power through your day- so that you have energy, clarity, and peace of mind to help you tackle life head on!
Keep reading why a 5-hour™ TEA shot one of the tools in my Mom toolbox for powering through my day along with a few other must-have mom tools!
5-hour™ TEA is one of the tools in my Mom toolbox for powering through my day
#1 5-hour™ TEA
Yes you read that right 5-hour™ TEA is the first tool in my toolbox. In fact, it has become the go-to energy I need for my mom-on-the-go lifestyle. I get mine at CVS but it can be found online or at any locations found here clvr.li/buy5h.
A 5-hour™ TEA shot is exactly what I need to stay sharp as I get ready to tackle my everyday to-do list! I really love the fact that it is a dietary supplement with the caffeine from green tea leaves, equivalent to a cup of premium coffee. And was pleasantly surprised by its flavors; lemonade tea, peach tea, and raspberry tea were quite refreshing! The bonus for me is that it is loaded with vitamins and nutrients minus any sugar.
I also love how convenient and compact it is- that I can just pop a couple bottles of 5-hour™ TEA in my purse so that it is there for me in a pinch (like right before a workout!)!
A few things to note for those of you ready to make 5-hour™ TEA shots a permanent tool in your mom toolbox
– I use it once a day but you can try using two portions, not at the same time.
-You should avoid other caffeinated products when you use a 5-hour™ TEA shot.
-It is not recommended for pregnant women, children or mixed with alcohol or other dietary supplements.
#2 A gym membership is also a tool in my mom toolbox.
I know what you are thinking- I barely have time to get through my to-do-list how can I possibly make time to get to the gym, and here is my answer: when you know you are paying out of your pocket- that is more of an incentive to actually step foot in a gym. And even if you just spend twenty minutes on the treadmill- that will become your sacred time. Personally having a gym membership also gives me an excuse to wear leggings everywhere (you know because technically I could either be on my way to or from the gym)!
But seriously though a gym membership is a wonderful tool because it is just for you; a place to focus on your wellness and take time to reconnect to your body and finally listen to your Spotify playlist uninterrupted.
#3 A great book is also a tool in my mom toolbox.
Whether you are a kindle person or like me you are an old school paperback book lover- find an author who speaks to you and stash that book in your purse. In the pages of a book, you can escape the minutiae of reading Facebook statuses and allow yourself a respite from the daily stresses of your life and improve your vocabulary too. Reading is one of the best stress relievers and when you take time to nourish your mind- you will in effect fuel your energy levels.
#4 Invest in A Planner!
Keep a written list of all your commitments so that you don’t end up wasting time frantically looking for green glitter at every craft store only to be told your son doesn’t need it for his social studies project till next week! Having a written list of all your kids’ appointments and your errands will ultimately help you power through your to-do list like the mom boss you are!
So tell me- what tools are in your mom toolbox?
