Air Fried Canned Potatoes Recipe

1 point

I’m obsessed with using canned sliced potatoes as sides with a veggie! This air fried canned potatoes recipe is bound to be your new favorite side dish.

Only 1 Weight Watchers point for a hearty 2/3 cup serving. Yum. So, if one can is 2.5 servings, that means the whole can is 3 points!

That is not bad at all. Thanks to Cambrie

Ingredients

  • 1 can of potatoes
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

1. Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Drain the potatoes from the can, rinse them slightly under running cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
3. Toss them in olive oil spray and seasoning.
4. Add seasoned potatoes to your air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
5. Next, air fry them for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
6. Turn them on the other side halfway.

Here are a few other ways to make them

1) This time I sprayed them with olive oil spray and about a teaspoon of ranch seasoning in the frying pan.

2) I just spray with olive oil spray , salt, pepper and put them in a preheated air fryer for about 8-10 minutes . Get them nice and brown, I like to use the whole canned potatoes (cut in half)

3) I just wrap them in foil and pierce them a couple of times, as I would in the conventional oven. I cook for one, so smaller quantities, and I don’t have to heat up the entire oven. Just throw them into the crockpot this way, on high for a shorter time, low for a longer time. Keep an eye on them now and then, usually a couple of hours, until they feel done.

I make canned potatoes “fried” with Pam at least twice a week! I love them too! They cook so much better than raw potatoes.
