My lifelong battle with excess body fat is like many people these days. I know everybody says this, but I really don’t eat a lot and I watch my diet LIKE A HAWK. I avoid snacking, ice cream , chocolate, pizza and cake. I exercise at least 4-5 times a week on an elliptical machine. And yet I still have those last 10-20 pounds of excess weight in my hips, thighs and belly that will not go away no matter what I do. I also said that 2016 was the year that I was going to take charge of my beauty routine and not fall into that familiar – “Oh I’m 42 years old does it really matter that I am sporting a kangaroo pouch outlook on life” rather 2016 is the year I am going to say, “Oh HELL NO I will not sport a kangaroo pouch unless I am ready to birth some roo babies” but I digress.
Since September 2011 I hit the gym HARD and I said goodbye to my best friend Nutella. I feel lighter, I have more energy and with all the boxing I’ve been doing I could probably kick someone’s ass ( were I in a dark alley and my life were in jeopardy). But by the same token, I’ve done every sit-up , crunch and nautilus machine known to man- and guess what- that c-section pouch- albeit deflated, remains. I’M NOT GOING TO LIE and say I wouldn’t LOVE to be able to remove all traces of the ravages pregnancy and life have wreaked on my 42 year old body- because, in the deep recesses of our my minds and hearts, don’t we all just want that 22 year bikini bod back again?
Fortunately fate intervened and I had the distinct pleasure of being introduced to Dr. Kenneth Rothaus who is an early advocate and physician using a new technique called SculpSure. What is it SculpSure? It is a non invasive Body Sculpting light based technique that will destroy in a painless manner up to 24% of fat in an area. Even with a great diet and moderate exercise, most adults ( like me) have stubborn areas of fat that seem impossible to get rid of but now with SculpSure, you can target these problem areas in just 25 minutes without surgery or downtime.
Check out my three part video below of my experience getting A Sculpsure Treatment!
SculpSure is a breakthrough in non-invasive body contouring that treats bothersome areas of fat, helping you achieve the shape you want. The 25 minute procedure uses light-based technology to permanently destroy up to 24%* of treated fat in problem areas such as the abdomen and love handles. Check out this SculpSure™ Before & After Gallery!
It is important to note that SculpSure is not a weight loss treatment rather it is a body contouring procedure it also works best on those who have a normal BMI. The procedure will take up to 12-24 weeks after the initial 25 minute procedure to see the complete results as fat cells continue to die off. It can be done on more than one area at a session but each area takes 25 minutes. It can be done on the same area again after a period of time.
I barely felt anything during the procedure– just a little hot and cold sensations and I was able to work out that afternoon. And now I am waiting for the fat to melt away.
For more information on this ground breaking SculpSure procedure which involves no incisions, anthesthesia or downtime check out Dr. Kenneth Rothaus site.
This post is written in partnership with Dr. Kenneth Rothaus but as is always the case all opinions expressed are my own.
Hmmm this really looks interesting and after two c-sections I need help.
the video was super cool!!! how are results going?
So far so good- no pain and I think I am already starting to see results although the final results will be at around six weeks!
Oh I can’t wait to hear what you think after 6 weeks! You look pretty comfortable during the procedures too.
Wow this is really breakthrough!!! So how many sessions would it take for you to meet your goal? I’m so intrigued!
So….what do you think? Do you think you had good results..24% reduction? Can you tell? Would you recommend doing it?
What is your final result? Are you happy with it? Thanks!
Hi Melissa,
You didnt update your blog about results. Does that mean they didnt turn out how you were expecting?
