Try this cheesy vegetable omelette – no matter what your personal points on Weight Watchers this will work for you!
Thanks to Christine who shared this delicious recipe and here are her very worthy thoughts about the new Weight Watchers Plan!
Anyone who is knocking the new plan, take a second to sit back and examine what it’s doing. I normally would eat this same omelette for breakfast for 3 points. I got it today for 3 points but I added just a bit more veggies and earned those 3 points back!
It’s teaching you to eat the foods you need to eat to develop healthy, sustainable habits that will last throughout life! You cannot survive on fiber one bars and sugar free jello the rest of your life. While I do enjoy a fiber one bar at times and use sugar free pudding to flavor things, they are not the staples of my diet. And by diet I mean daily food habits. I took the summer off and came back yesterday for the new plan. You know what I logged for my weight – a loss of an additional 16 pounds while being OFF THE PLAN and not tracking by following healthy eating habits I developed the first 6 months of the year.
If you chose a free food or two, you have less daily points. If you DON’T eat those foods EVERY SINGLE DAY, don’t choose them, you will get more dailies. Yes, those foods will no longer be free but you will have the points to cover them when you decide to have them. I love popcorn but I still don’t eat it every night so I’d rather have more points and track it when I do eat it.
I’ve done weight watchers before and it’s the only program that worked for me. I hated it when they increased the points for carb and sugar loaded foods but, guess what, most those foods are evil and addictive and once I broke the addiction (mostly), I didn’t miss them. I’m content with a small slice of birthday cake or small ice cream cone and if I decide to treat myself and get a bigger one, I usually can’t eat it all.
Follow the science… it does work!! and keep reading for the recipe: bell peppers (red, yellow and green), mushrooms and onions – sautéed with olive oil spray. Then 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese and 3 eggs!
Here is how Christine tracked this cheesy vegetable omelette!
So what do you think of the new plan?
that was very interesting! what a smart way to look at the new plan😉
