Chocolate Snickers Donuts

Took a recipe and modified it to be a Snickers Doughnut. OMG!!! Delish
I used Kodiak dark chocolate mix and a Snickers shakers seasoning to make it chocolate. 2 points per donut and worth every point
Ingredients
Baking powder 1 1⁄2 tsp
Table salt 1/4 tsp
Unsweetened applesauce 1/4 cup(s)
Canned pumpkin puree 1/2 cup(s)
Lakanto Sugar free monkfruit baking sweetener with erythritol 51⁄2 cup(s) (used a 1/2 cup for the doughnut and then 1/8 mixed with the snickers seasoning to put on top)
Egg(s) 1 item(s) (large), large
Country Crock Light vegetable oil spread
1 Tbsp
Water 1/2 cup(s)
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Protein packed dark chocolate flapjack and waffle mix
1 1⁄2 cup(s)
Snickers Shakers Seasoning Blend 1 1⁄2 tsp
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl combine, flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. Stir to combine.
- In a separate large mixing bowl whisk together, unsweetened applesauce, pumpkin puree, egg, brown sugar substitute, vanilla, water, and melted butter or 2 Tbsp unsweetened applesauce. Whisk until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. (DO NOT over mix-it is critical that you DO NOT over mix the batter once you combine the wet and dry ingredients. The texture of the donuts will be completely off if over mixed.)
- Spray two (6 cavities) donut pans with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place donut batter into a ziplock bag. Seal bag making sure all the air is released. Cut one corner off of the bag to create a piping bag.
- Fill prepared donut pan 1/2 way with batter using the piping bag. (I use a donut pan to make baked donuts.)
- Bake for 10-13 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the sugar topping: In a medium bowl mix together the sugar substitute and cinnamon.
- Once they have cooled a bit, spray both sides of donuts with can’t believe it’s not butter spray and then dust both sides of a donut with sugar mixture.
Makes 12 donuts each is two points per serving on weight watchers

Your recipes has helped me and members of my weight loss group get healthier and be able to have low point delicious desserts. Many are my favorites that I have made often. I have lots of food allergies, so ones made with applesauce, cranberries, oats, alternative milk, and eggs are great. Love your presentation too.
Thank you, thank you for your recipes!

These Snickers-inspired donuts sound like a dream for anyone trying to satisfy a sweet tooth while staying on track with their health goals. Using pumpkin puree and applesauce is such a clever way to keep them moist without all the extra fat usually found in fried treats. While these look incredible for a home kitchen project, I always like to know what my other options are when I am out running errands. I often look up the dunkin donuts menu with prices at just to compare and see what new seasonal flavors they have available for a quick cheat day treat..
