10 Classic Netflix Movies You can Watch as a Family Over and Over Again

September 17, 2021 by Melissa Chapman 8 Comments

10 Classic Netflix movies you can watch as a family over and over again is a sponsored post.

During the fall, we naively anticipate that there will be months of robust, sunshiny days with lots of leaf crunching so our kids can play outdoors and scamper about until they drop (hopefully).

Unfortunately, Mother Nature and fate are never as cooperative as we’d like them to be.

So, here’s a game plan when it’s thundering outside, your pool filter is on the fritz or your lil’ one comes down with a case of the sniffles. It’s my “emergency NETFLIX go-to stash” – movies that help you get through those days when outdoor play is not an option. And the best part?

They’re films that you’ll actually enjoy watching with your child, as opposed to setting him up on the couch, with his blanky and sippy cup while the movie “baby-sits” him for the next hour. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that; we all need a breather from our kids every once in a while.)

In any case, these NETs will suit either scenario – whether you want to spend some quality “quiet” downtime with your kid, watching a movie that won’t make you feel like you want to pull your hair out or if you need a “baby-sitter” movie.

These films truly stand the test of time; they appealed to me when I was young and are still as funny, touching and relatable to my kids today. For older kids, the best way to pass the time is with some classic musicals, and for little ones Netflix has a few fun sing-a-longs (perfect if you need something other than Let It Go in your head).

And speaking of Let It Go, moms, dads and older teens, be sure to check out Rent, starring Idina Menzel. And of course no movie experience would be complete without a snack and a fun accompanying craft project!

Here are 10 Classic Netflix Movies You can Watch as a Family Over and Over Again

Netflix always has some great things hidden away on it, doesn’t it? I love that there are so many classic kids movies I’m going to have to look some of them up.

Those movies are indeed fun to watch but I like Grease. I’ve watched it several times in the past and I enjoyed it so much.
