Thank you to Roseann Boller-Weisberg for sharing her gourmet but totally DIY Hot Chocolate Bomb Cups!
I honestly think a homemade present like this one rivals any store bought one you might give for the holidays!
Check out these directions for the step by step process to create these DIY Hot Chocolate Bomb Cups and the pictures which show the process!
yes, the entire cup is chocolate. This is how I made mine:
1. I melted the almond bark, filled the mold to the top.
2. put them into the freezer for 15 minutes,
3. pulled the chocolate cups out, the center will be a tad tight to get out, but pull gently,
4. then I dipped the tops in peppermint or sanding sugar, filled the cup half way with hot cocoa, stuck in my candy cane upside down because I couldn’t find peppermint sticks, filled the rest of the cup with hot cocoa, added marshmallows, stuck the pretty ornaments on with a dot of melted chocolate, drizzled chocolate from a ziplock on top of the marshmallows and added the toppings.
Notes: I didn’t close my tops as these are for my kids/hubby, but I plan to close the tops by dipping the opening in chocolate, then dip that onto parchment paper for the circle impression, then fill the circle with chocolate and let it harden up.
So are you ready to DIY some gifts for the holidays?
