ELF PETS®: A FOX CUB’S CHRISTMAS TALE -The quintessential holiday movie for families is part of a sponsored conversation but as is always the case all opinions expressed are my own.

On the weekends and over the long holidays we naively anticipate that there will be days of robust activities for our kids to engage in until they drop (hopefully). 

Unfortunately, fate is never as cooperative as we’d like it to be. So, here’s a game plan when it’s thundering/snowing outside and you cannot fathom taking your kids to one more indoor playspace or your lil’ one comes down with a case of the sniffles.

It’s my “emergency” movie that help you get through those days when outdoor play is not an option and you and your kidlets are home for the Holidays.

We just saw a screening of ELF PETS®: A FOX CUB’S CHRISTMAS TALE and had such a good time.

And to be honest –ELF PETS®: A FOX CUB’S CHRISTMAS TALE  was not just for kids although your kids will love this. Having not seen any of the other Elf on the Shelf productions we did not know what to expect, but came away with a warm feeling about how full of wonderment and joy the Christmas season can be -not just for the kids but yes even for us adults!

ELF PETS®: A FOX CUB’S CHRISTMAS TALE –  truly provides an opportunity for parents and kids to take a leap of faith and bring some magic and fun into the countdown to Christmas! The Elf On the Shelf characters give us the space to suspend reality for just a bit and really dive head first into imaginative play and all the promise of  Santa Claus and his team of helpers! 

This animated tale really answers a lot of questions, introduces a sweet cast of new characters and shows us how Santa and the elves work together on the greatest night of the year.

It was a lot of fun to meet the Arctic Fox,  one of Santa’s Elf Pets^® ! Each holiday season, the Elf Pets® aid Santa with his Christmastime duties. They also answer some of the North Pole’s biggest questions like, “How does Santa’s sleigh fly?”, “What makes the North Pole magical?” and “How does Santa travel the world in one night undetected?” With their Elf Pets® in hand, kids can help Santa during Christmas!All Elf Pets^® come with their own hardbound storybook explaining exactly what they do to help Santa.

The Arctic Fox is Sent straight from the North Pole, and is a cuddly pet that serves as year-round pal to kids, who can hug, love and play with it! You can adopt one here.

This movie also shed some light on JUST  how the northern lights stay lit and how Santa is able to deliver packages to the world on Christmas.

It was great to see this production with kids because they really seemed to love the movie, the characters and grasp the theme. The concept of keeping hope alive rings true throughout the movie and even touches on the theme that sometimes all wishes don’t come true. 

This is a  film that truly stands the test of time; it has all the magic of original songs, vivid and lush animated scenes that truly transport you to Santa’s home base!

But it also features a family of characters who are anything but one dimensional, and teaches some lessons about faith, family and hope!

To be honest at just shy of 30 minutes this is a film that you’ll actually enjoy watching with your child, as opposed to setting him up on the couch, with his blanky and sippy cup while “baby-sits” him for the next hour. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that; we all need a breather from our kids every once in a while.)

It will suit either scenario “ whether you want to spend some quality “quiet” downtime with your kid, watching a movie that won’t make you feel like you want to pull your hair out or if you need a “baby-sitter” movie.

I think thisELF PETS®: A FOX CUB’S CHRISTMAS TALE would be a perfect stocking stuffer for the holiday season and Watching it might just start a new holiday tradition that the whole family can enjoy.
