Is it Ever Okay to take a BREAK from your Relationship and have a baby with someone else?

July 20, 2016 by Melissa Chapman 1 Comment

Unless you’ve been living under a rock- you have seen that now infamous episode of Friends- the one during which the on again-off again romance between characters Ross and Rachel takes a turn for the worse when while ON A BREAK Ross has SEX with another woman.

Is it Ever Okay to take a BREAK from your Relationship and have a baby with someone else?

While Ross didn’t technically feel bad about getting intimate in the biblical senese with another woman, nor did he feel like he was cheating on Rachel because they were ON A BREAK- I always thought it was kinda SUPER SLIMEY. I bet a lot of women felt that way.

 We were on a BREAK

Don’t get me wrong. A break is natural. Sometimes you need to STEP away from the person you love to get perspective and re-evalaute your relationship. But during said break- getting perspective while getting on top of someone else without protection-well that takes your indiscretion to a whole other level of NOT COOL. (at least not by my standards of acceptability).

Of course in the world of celebrities- there is a term called “BREAK BABIES”” aka Celebrities Who Made Babies While on Breaks From Their Mains.

Here are just a few of  my thoughts on these Break babies.

Wtf is a break? In other words what are the parameters of breaks?

It’s one thing to cheat but another to get someone pregnant.Break equals  adultery, and  there is an inherent disrespect involved with the lack of protection used.

If your first thought during a break is to go bang someone else, that break needs to be permanent.

what each individual does during a break is their business, being with someone THAT intimately to the point you get them pregnant is on some next level s**t.

What someone does WITH you they will do TO you!

So what are your thoughts??

I get that sometimes people have rebound sex when “on a break” – but I still don’t think it is right! A break is meant to be about getting some space and having some time to figure stuff out, not jumping into bed with someone else. And having a baby when on a break?! That is some crazy shit! There is no excuse for that in my eyes.
