Frosted Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of All Purpose flour I used King Arthur 12
- 3/4 Cup of Whole Wheat Flour 6
- 2 tsp of Bread Machine Yeast 0
- 1/2 cup of Unsweetened Applesauce 0
- 1 pinch of salt 0
- 1 Egg 0
- 6 tsps of Sugar in the raw or white sugar 7
- 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract 0
- 3 tsp of Ground Cinnamon 0
- 1 tbsp of Lankato Monkfruit Golden Sweetener 0
- 4 Tbsp of Powdered Sugar 9
- 1 3/4 tsp of water 0
Instructions
- In a stand mixer with a dough hook, add egg, applesauce, sugar, yeast, vanilla, mix until combined, add flours and salt. Let the mixer continue mixing for 10 minutes, may have to scrape down sides at first.
- Grease a glass bowl, transfer your dough ball to the bowl, flip so both sides are greased, cover and let rise in a warm area for 1 hour.
- Lightly floured surface roll out dough to a 10" wide by 15" long rectangle, mix cinnamon and monkfruit and evenly spread onto dough, roll from 1 short side to other, cut into 10 equal pieces and place in greased baking dish, cover and again let rise for an 45min-1hr.
- Bake 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, I did mine 23 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, drizzle with powdered sugar and water mixture.
