Got Teens? Then You NEED to get a Ticket to This Weekend’s Austin Mahone post Mets game Concert

September 26, 2014 by Melissa Chapman Leave a Comment

Based on what I’ve heard, bonding with your teen is definitely not for the faint of heart. Most teens, in the process of flexing their independence, are sporting surly attitudes and a desire to be as far away from you as possible.

Got Teens? Then You NEED to get a Ticket to This Weekend's Austin Mahone post Mets game Concert

When I told my sister, who has a 18-year-old son, that I was writing this post, she offered me this bit of insight into how she’s managed to keep their relationship so solid, even during the tumultuous teen years.

“I just really want to be involved in his life. Sure, I discipline him, but he also knows he can tell me anything and that ultimately I am on his side,” she said.

“We have talks every night, which I started when he was a tween,” she went on. “We work out together, we go grocery shopping and at least once a week we go out to eat. He is an integral part of who I am and my happiest times are when I’m with him (and his little brother).”

Of course, I hope to experience these kinds of connections with my own children and if you’re looking for concrete ways to start the bonding process and you have a tween/teen in your life- and you want to put a smile on her face I have the PERFECT way to do so- GET tickets to the  Austin Mahone postgame concert presented by Duane Reade following the Mets-Astros 7:10 p.m. game on Saturday, September 27!

Mahone, an 18-year-old singer/songwriter, is poised for stardom with several hit singles on iTunes including “What About Love,” which peaked at No. 7, “Say You're a Friend,” and “Banga! Banga!,” which climbed as high as No. 14. He is also headlining the MTV Artist to Watch Tour in 2014.

Mets take on the Astros, Sept. 26th through Sept. 28th. Austin Mahone performs in our Postgame Concert, Presented by Duane Reade, on Saturday, Sept. 27th! Go to Mets.com for tickets and more.

Tickets to the Austin Mahone post-game concert are available at Mets.com/Concerts and (718) 507-TIXX.
