Help Holocaust Survivors
My father Larry David Chapman z”l was born in a work camp, he and his parents survived the Holocaust. If he was still alive today the thought of him having to live out his days in poverty is something i cannot wrap my head around.
But it’s a sobering fact for many -in fact 1 in 3 Holocaust Survivors in Israel lives in poverty.
The city of Dimona is home to hundreds of Holocaust Survivors. Unfortunately, many of them live below the poverty line and are unable to afford basic expenses like buying food. Instead of living their last years in dignity, many Holocaust Survivors struggle with hunger on a day-to-day basis.
The good news is that meirpanim set up a Holocaust Survivor Day Center in the city–a place where each survivor receives daily meals and the opportunity to socialize with friends through a variety of special group activities. For many survivors, the Dimona Holocaust Survivor Day Center has become a second home.
We can help them! Donate any amount https://donate.meirpanim.org/holocaust/?utm_source=blog&utm_medium=influencer&utm_campaign=holocaust-miriam
