So the holidays are officially upon us- and while there are tons of women who love hosting shindigs at their homes– I am not one of those women. Rather- I am that woman who LOVES to be invited to your party and will roll up my sleeves and help you clean up ( after I drink your wine and eat your goodies).
And of course I will NEVER show up to a party empty-handed which is why I am sharing a few great ideas for hostess gifts that you can bring to the very generous woman who is hosting you and presumably your kidlets at her holiday party this year!
#1 Bring a gift that for your hostess’ KIDS!! Being that you are going over to her house- bringing a gift that will help your hostess enhance her living space is always a great choice.
Keep children occupied while stirring their imagination with a playhouse- like this Pirate Shack one which is suitable for both the indoors and outdoors. They are easy to maintain and provide children with a little world all of their own where their imagination and creativity has free reign. Or nab this $50 puppet playhouse that includes two hand puppets and a stage to make them stars!
You should also consider play tables, art easel like the one below from Pottery Barn, and drawing tables have been created with both the child and adult in mind.
In conjunction with specially designed kid’s furniture such as chairs and stools, they provide hours of fun and ease of use for children; yet for adults, they are quick and simple to clean and maintain.
#2 Bring your a hostess gift that is just for mom! Focus on design, functionality and durability and consider garden carts, composters, planters, or this Magpie & Jay Garden Tool Box, and a wide variety of garden accessories that are practical and will remain reliable and rust-free, irrespective of the weather.
Consider a Hostess gift that tackles common challenges that confront homeowners, such as limited outdoor space, and try to solve them with an innovative present like a cool bar and picnic table– two such examples of this lateral thinking ( and are gifts that any hostess would adore!)
Love this Breakfast Gift Pack which includes World Market® Breakfast Blend Coffee, My Favorite Gingerbread Pancake Mix, Sticky Fingers Scone Mix, Gingerbread Man Maple Syrup, a spatula and a mixing bowl
#3 DIY a Morning after Breakfast Box . Get your hostess a few coffee mugs, I love these Lux Livelifeinlux Coffee Mugs, and this “There’s a Chance this is wine” coffee mug a bag of ground roast coffee and pancake mix and put it in a cute box and tie a ribbon around it.
#4 DIY a cocktails for two box. Get your hostess a beautiful bottle of champagne, two flutes, I love these Dwell Crosshatch Champagne Flutes, special straws and napkins and of course include a hand-written note.
So what are YOU swooning over when it comes to Hostess gifts?
