So what do husbands really think about Valentine's Day expectations –the day when we are told we should have HIGH expectations of romance, flowers, candy, diamonds from our men- and if those things are not delivered STAT, we should kick those men to the curb- here are a few sage words of advice from my husband when it comes to Valentine's Day expectations…
“My first impressions of this holiday is that Valentine's day is a SCAM, because it's become so commercialized and women seem to measure their man's love for them in terms of what present they get from their guy. But, on the flip side, it's a sweet holiday. The truth it's nice to be romantic now and again and on special occasions. Our women deserve to be taken care of and romanced all the time, but especially on the holidays like this, our anniversary, birthday. The truth is I think men enjoy being romantic once in a while- and although I don't like the idea of someone telling me when I should be romantic- it's fun to kick it up a notch and show my appreciation and love once in a while.”
The Sugar Daddy's Valentine's day card to me a full two weeks early ( because that's how he rolls…)
Wait.. I had to stop him…”So you don't think you should show me your love everyday?”
The Sugar daddy: Of course I do, but in the day to day drudgery of life, I get busy and lazy and tired and I forget to take care of the one I love.
Me: So Valentine's Day is a good, swift kick in the butt for men?
The Sugar daddy: It has it's good points–listen I still think it's a commercialized scam– but I also think you deserve to be romanced every once in a while too.
Me: Yeah, yeah it's a commercialized scam- whatever- just keep passing me those chocolates…
