A few weeks ago- along with 14 others bloggers including my best girl Lady and the Blog I got the VERY special opportunity to visit the Sara Lee Kitchens care of Hillshire Farm.
Not only did we get to see all the magic, pomp and circumstance and LOVE (the Sara Lee crew are all just REALLY friendly and happy about being there) that goes into their delish eats- but I got to learn how to STYLE and photograph my food.. (who knew you could hairspray a sandwich?!)
Did I ever mention that I’m a TOTAL foodie- i.e. I love to eat everything , and especially DELI MEATS?!! So when Hillshire Farms approached me about becoming one of their FRESH 15 bloggers to compete in America’s most wanted Sandwich contest well- it was kind of a no -brainer… I if you know me, you know that I’m not the best cook and so if there is any way to make life easier in the kitchen and serve my kids food, that doesn’t involve me having to turn on any kind of flame– well I’m ALL for it!)
So they asked me to come up with a sandwich that reflected the regional flavor of my city- and being a Staten Islander for the past almost ten years I decided I’d call my sandwich THE ITALIAN JOB , being that so many of my Staten Island neighbors are proud Italian Americans.
Pretty please won’t you find it in your hearts to vote for my sandwich The ITALIAN JOB as America’s Most Wanted sandwich- and for your effort you’ll receive a coupon- And not only help me win some money BUT– if I win I will be donating $5,000 to my charity of choice which is … the Staten Island volunteer-based dog/cat rescue Louie’s Legacy!
So c’mon people show me, The Italian job and Louie’s Legacy SOME LOVE! www.gomeat.com
