Join me on the radio; we’ll be talking being happier in your marriage in 2011 ( yes it’s possible!)

January 2, 2011 by Melissa Chapman 3 Comments

We all make them… those pesky resolutions and as 2011 just gets underway we have about 365 days to not only wax poetically about them but you know, to maybe put them into practice.

Case in point- I HATE FOOTBALL! (maybe it’s because I simply don’t understand what the whole downs system is, why grown men would take their lives in their hands to chase after a ball and why my husband finds it more illuminating then pretty much anything else on g-d’s green earth). But today rather than tell my husband he needs to watch it in the celllar ( I kid!) I am sitting next to him as I type up this blog post watching Mark Sanchez. I still can’t make sense of it- but at least there’s Mark Sanchez.. right?!

My point is- I’m trying to resolve to spend more time with my husband under the category I’d label- having fun ( and BOY are we having fun right now– cant you tell?!)

So this Friday from 12 noon to 1pm EST I’ve been asked to host a show on the VERY COOL woman’s radio network http://www.heartbeatradiousa.com/ where I’m going to be discussing HOW TO BE HAPPIER in YOUR MARRIAGE in 2011.

And becasue I’m not a psychologist, ( although having clocked a solid 12 years in this institution we call marriage I feel I’ve got a pretty firm grip on what I need to work on to stay happy as a married woman and am ALWAYS looking for ways to improve said happiness) I’ve got the talented and chock full of information Dr. Romance herself Tina Tessina, who will be dishing out tips for working through the biggest stumbling blocks married couples find themselves up against. And for some much needed comic relief I’ll have Erin from the pee-your pants blog I‘m Gonna Kill him who will offer advice, for wives who’ve got kids basically crawling all over them all day long, about just how to keep your marriage in tact when you’re so busy being a mom.

I think it’s going to be a really great hour and I HOPE you’ll join me and call in at 352-728-1410! No we won’t be curing cancer but we’ll have a lot of fun, and maybe just maybe you’ll learn a new way to approach your marriage in 2011 so that you and your husband can have a little more fun too
