Congrats to our winner Leigh Anne!
Summer is coming and while your kids will be happily immersed in summery pursuits like; slurping on snow cones, running through sprinklers, enjoying camp programs and family vacation time– it is important that you prepare some type of concrete plan prior to the summer getting underway that will help curtail the summer slide. On the average kids (who don’t continue with some type of educational program) will incur a loss of 1-2 months of learning progress while off from school.
So what’s a parent to do? Consider the Brain Chase summer learning program. Check out my first Brain Chase post to get the deets on this online summer learning challenge during which kids will try and find the Sunstone of Cortés and win a $10,000 prize. And to get an even better sense of this program the video below is the official Brain Chase 2015 trailer for The Sunstone of Cortés and explains how the program works.
And keep reading for some new Brain Chase announcements and how you can win a giveaway of a complimentary Brain Chase registration valued at $199.
Use the new dashboard demo for a hands-on look at Brain Chase. You can interact with last year’s dashboard for detailed explanations about how kids’ work is tracked during the program’s five weeks.
• This year’s challenge is to find The Sunstone of Cortés . It is about 12 inches in diameter and has mechanically rotating components that open to reveal the center compartment, where the key to retrieve the $10,000 prize will be hidden.
Here you can see a video of the Sunstone being made.
