Mother’s Day Indulgences Just for Mamas
I’ll admit it: I secretly wait for Mother’s Day each year. Like other mothers, I love being a mom and wouldn’t change my job for the world. OK, so I may reconsider this when my 14-year-old son is in the middle of a terrible teen outburst but only for a split second.
Seriously, though, being a mother is one of the toughest gigs around. We moms work 24 hours on call without pay. We tactfully answer questions at a rapid-fire pace. We aid in the creation of dioramas and book reports, and we must go from 0 to 60 at a moment’s notice. If we’re lucky, we may get an unsolicited hug or wet kiss on the cheek for all our hard work. So that’s why I had to create this post- Mother’s Day Indulgences Just for Mamas.
Bottom line when Mother’s Day rolls around, we ought to indulge ourselves “ hey, we deserve it!” and with a minimum amount of coercion, hopefully our kids will be happy to come along for the ride.
