There is something so powerful about a Disney Film; it has the ability to unite a multitude of generations and for those minutes spent soaking in its magic and sentiment- as an audience- we are all collectively one. I consider myself a major Disneyophile…or at least someone who is obsessed with their classic films both animated (Sleeping Beauty) and live action (Mary Poppins). The folks at Disney have got their pulse on the human condition and masterfully create characters- even animated ones- who are dripping with depth, human emotion, frailties, vulnerabilities and idiosyncrasies. In fact every nuance of a living breathing being (be it animal or human) is somehow captured and brought to life so vividly, via their characters- that whether you're an adult or a kid you can't help but be absorbed by the story, the colors and fully invest yourself in their fates.
And there is nothing September could use more of than a little Disney movie magic to help kids get over the back to school and back to their routine doldrums! Which is why I am pleased as punch to be able to share that Disney is now on Netflix. That’s right, Disney films, perfect for cuddling up together on the couch for family movie time, are coming to Netflix starting this month.
And we know the one thing that will have everyone fighting for the good place on the couch is Disney’s Zootopia. So get ready to reboot family time with Judy Hopps starting 9/20 – and maybe even throw in a new movie time snack like this ice cream one.
Because some secrets are too big to keep we’re giving you a preview of what’s to come. With all 2015 – 2016 theatrical releases coming exclusively to Netflix, not even an evil father from a galaxy far, far away can bring us down. Trust me, this lineup is nothing close to the bare necessities.
Here are just a few of the goodies in Netflix's Disney Collection- that are totally worth the view with your kidlets in tow!
Tarzan
Holes
Mulan 2
Don't let the Mad Hatter lead you astray — there’s a lot more coming to Netflix. Just keep swimming to find out what else we have in store; after all, the ocean is calling.
This post is written as a part of my Netflix #StreamTeam ambassadorship but as is always the case all opinions expressed are my own!
I love Netflix and have no idea what I would do without them. We love it much more than Cable and would consider nixing cable just for it.
We love Netflix. On Fridays or Saturday nights we will have a family movie night where we all sit on the couch and just watch a movie together. I love that snack I’m going to try it this weekend.
I have always been a fan of Disney movies and it’s great that Netflix has a variety of them. I have yet to see Zootopia but am looking forward to it.

I’m toying with the idea of dropping satellite altogether because we mainly watch Netflix.
Netflix is such a great service! We binge watch shows all the time with our subscription. I love that they are adding Disney movies too. 🙂

I just love sharing Disney movies (especially the classics) with my kids. It’s so fun to watch them experience a movie that I saw when I was their age. As loyal Netflix users, I know we will get a lot out of the partnership between Disney and Netflix!
Love Disney and Love Netflix! So excited they are partnered. Also, I never saw Zootopia so I will DEF be streaming that one!!!
