SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT EVENTS!
RUN OR WALK for Project Hospitality The Fall Flat 5-K course travels along Willowbrook’s White Trail and around the lake; it is mostly flat and well suited for novice runners and walkers as well as more competitive athletes. All Greenbelt and NYARA races are professionally timed culminating in an awards ceremony. Refreshments and a long-sleeve athletic shirt are provided for registered runners.
Where: Willowbrook Park, 2 Eton Place
When: 10 am
Race fee: (includes long sleeve athletic shirt, refreshments, timing and medal ceremony)
$30.00 per adult runner, $25.00 for Greenbelt Conservancy or NYARA members

The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art The museum hosts a family day that features children’s literature, music, and arts and crafts.
1:00PM – Reading and Slide Show of THE MOST WELL-TRAVELED SQUIRREL IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. Join authors Andrew Romano and Blaze Kelly Coyle for a reading and discussion of their new book! Tommy the squirrel wakes up to find that his home has been transported to New York City and is now the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. A stranger in a strange land, Tommy must figure out a way to conquer his fears and explore his new world or stay hidden away forever.
2:00 – 3:00 PM – Music With Patrick. Patrick is a musician, Music Together teacher, and father who loves sharing his great passion for all things fun and musical with families throughout the New York/New Jersey area. Along with Mighty Mike Campbell and Pete Blomstrom, “Music with Patrick” has performed to happy audiences at venues such as the Brooklyn and Staten Island children’s museums, the Staten Island Zoo, the Greenbelt Nature Center, and many branches of the New York Public Library.

SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT EVENTS
The 9th Day of Arthur Families can enjoy a sneak peak of the new Sony Holiday classic. Create wonderful crafts with the theme of giving. Sessions at 1,2 & 3. Giveaways include Arthur Christmas posters, bookmarks, activity sheets, hot chocolate and candy canes. Also, Wahoo Skiffle Crazies will perform at 3:30 in Portia’s Playhouse. A great time with toe tapping, foot stomping, fun for the whole family. Sing-a-long, play instruments and dance to the sounds of this wonderful group.

Thanksgiving with the Beasts Families can experience a day-long series of special feedings at the Zoo in honor of Thanksgiving, take a tour of the animal kitchen, help prepare some food for critters and watch them eat. Kids will even meet some animals close up and make a Thanksgiving craft to take home (1:30-3:00pm) and enjoy their own breakfast snack too.
