Scenes from working and studying at home- sometimes we double up to get our work done in the same space so that we don't feel so lonely- sometimes we double up to get our work done in the same space so that we don't feel so lonely!
I cannot reiterate enough how lucky we feel to have Verizon mobile and home service to power all our zoom meetings, upload content and stream the latest episode of love island (we are addicted)!
But most importantly Verizon has made it a fairly smooth transition without missing a beat (or losing our connections!) The one thing I never have to worry about when it comes to working remotely is the power and speed of my Verizon mobile and home internet connection! Being connected to at least three devices at a time (while my son does his remote high school learning zoom calls ) is A BREEZE!!!
Home and work has become completely intermingled and if I didn't have a strong network I don't think we would be so smiley!
If you are in NYC and you don't already have Verizon they are offering an INSANE DEAL through 9/30 and options to get Hulu and Disney included with some plans! Check it out here: https://omm.media/vz

Own The School Year with Verizon
#1 Before he goes to sleep at night have your child charge his phone in a family communal charging station. When your kids know they must charge their phones in the same place that is a great way to make sure they aren’t taking their iPhones to bed with them (believe it or not they can fall out of bed and CRACK!)
#2 Institute a family rule that phones are not allowed at the dinner table, ( to maximize family conversation that is tech free) or in the bathroom or near any running water (This will eliminate the phone dropping in the toilet).
#3 Remind your kids that their iPAD and/or laptop is their personal property. As their personal property remind your child that he alone is solely responsible for the welfare and well being of his tech gadget.
#4 Reward them with a special gift every once in a while to show your child how much you appreciate them doing their best at the start of a school year that is anything but ordinary.Maybe that means you get her an iTunes gift card or treat her to a special dessert- the bottom line is that it is important that you show your child that you reward your child for following through and trying their best!
#5 And some tips to get these online ZOOM classes going!
-Set them up in a good area, with lots of light and a comfortable chair and table.
-Put all their supplies in one spot. The less distractions the better- and so that they will not have to leave their chair looking for school supplies.
-Good headphones for older kids -specifically ones that block out outside noise.
-Make sure your child has a charger too so their iPad doesn’t lose charge.
-Bottom line set them up for their zoom meeting so that they have no reason to leave their chair (and meeting) .
