Remodeling Projects Any Homeowner Can Tackle This Spring and a $100 Giftcard Giveaway to Home Depot

February 22, 2020 by Melissa Chapman 37 Comments

Spring is a great time of year to make some changes in your life. With the sun shining and warm weather finally here, people are feeling motivated to get things done after being in a long, winter slump. And we’ve got Remodeling Projects Any Homeowner Can Tackle This Spring that will help you and your BOO bond!

While many people focus on spring cleaning, this season is also a great time to do some home remodeling and renovations. In fact, a recent survey shows that about two-thirds of homeowners are making plans to renovate. Because the weather is just right, not too cold but not too hot, and because people are looking for a way to get busy after spending the long winter inside, you may want to consider one of the Remodeling Projects Any Homeowner Can Tackle This Spring discussed in this article.

Give Your Home a Paint Job

Here’s an easy spring remodeling project for any homeowner: give your home a paint job. Painting is one of the least expensive and short-term projects that can give a home a brand new look. If you don’t want to completely overhaul a room in your house, consider giving it a simple fresh coat of paint. With the right colors, a paint job can take the look and feel of a room to a whole new level.

Or you can even invest in a new picture like this Paris Flea Market For Soicher Marin Fashion Illustration E Wall Art which comes framed and ready to hang to give your wall a splash of french glam! Or try to spruce up your wall space with this palette of fresh, vibrant hues by entrepreneur Dana Gibson whose eclectic art is instantly recognizable.

This Dana Gibson For Soicher Marin Red Dog Wall Art is Reminiscent of the calligraphic canvases of Cy Twombly, her classical motifs feature delicate crepe textures and eclectic patterns.

Consider adding a Sunroom or Enclosed Porch

If you’re looking for a bigger project, you should consider adding a sunroom or enclosed porch. This type of addition can significantly increase your resale value, and if the room is used just four hours each day on average, the ROI can be up to 115% of the original cost. So not only is it a great investment, but it’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors without dealing with outside elements. Things like bugs, poor weather, and too much sun can all push people to avoid the outdoors.

Brayden Studio Marvine Rocking Chair

But with a sunroom or an enclosed porch, homeowners can enjoy the outdoors all year long, no matter the weather. Whether you’re looking for extra entertaining space, a quiet place to read and enjoy the sunshine, or a safe place for the kids to play, a sunroom is a great choice and you can get some cute furniture too like this laid back pear-shaped Rocking Chair that will make a swank statement in a living room, nursery or out on the patio. It’ s comfortable without a cushion and made to last stylishly for years with its durable powder coated steel frame and colorfast UV-resistant woven vinyl cord. Rock it out in any age range.

This beautiful rocker is the perfect rocking chair for just about anywhere in your home! The wide slatted back gives it an airy feel, and the generously proportioned ergonomic slatted seat is as comfortable as it is good looking. Whether rocking a sleeping baby in the nursery or watching the world go by on the front porch, this solid rocker will provide many years of enjoyment.

Add a pop of color and sleek style to your outdoor ensemble with this chic Glider Sofa. This lovely design is the perfect way to liven up your look, both indoors and out. Showcasing a sturdy steel frame, a sleek UV resistant finish, smooth gliding design, and geometric cutouts, this bench is brimming with modern sophistication. Try setting this delightful sofa on your front porch for the perfect spot to sip lemonade or watch the sunset with a loved one. Or place it in your sunroom with a plush white shag rug and metallic end table for a mod-inspired look.

Add eye-catching appeal to your home with this Metal Accent Table. The turquoise painted finish showcases an openwork hourglass-shaped metal base. This great piece of furniture is sure to brighten any room

Or place it in your sunroom with a metal end table for a mod-inspired look or choose this strong, sturdy, End Table, might just be too good to be true with so many applications such as an eye-catching end table or a sofa-side accent, or as a center table, planter stand and more

Spruce up your Kitchen

Because the kitchen is a central location of a home, it’s important to make it look and feel its best. One easy way to do this is to spruce up the kitchen cabinets.

If you’re not looking to completely replace your cabinets, adding a fresh coat of paint or wood stain and some new handles or knobs can give your cabinets a completely new look. This is a great easy way to bring some new details to your kitchen.

Welcome a classic to your kitchen and easily make your favorite cakes and multiple batches of cookie dough.

You can also add functional and colorful gadgets to your kitchen to bring that pop of color too with a stand mixer

Reconfigure your Lighting

Changing up the lighting in your house can be another easy, low-cost project. Having good lighting in your home is so important, especially after a long, dark winter.

Developed from Chloe s love of color this gorgeous opulent, rich lampshade is an absolute must for trend setting homes. The most luxurious opulent addition to your home.

By replacing old light bulbs with LEDs, getting some new lamp shades, like this gorgeous opulent, rich lampshade which is an absolute must for trend setting homes.  or even consider new window treatments that let more natural light in, you can have a completely new ambiance in your house and enjoy a brighter home. ( Even a simple table lamp below can bring a cute accent to a room)

Create a Play area for the kids

And lastly, parents should consider giving their kiddos a new play area. The winter months can often give kids a reason to sit around and not get as much playtime in as they should. But regular play is essential to being healthy and strong. I love this Stella Black and White Chalkboard-look Playroom Rules Wall Plaque

Bring charm and character to your little ones room with this lovely wall plaque. Perfect hung on their door or above their desk, it showcases a chalkboard motif with accents such as playroom rules

In fact, regular play is involved in the growth of about 400 genes in the cerebral cortex. So by giving the kids a new playroom teepee, play area, or even a new playground in the backyard, you can help motivate them to get active and get playing.

Allow your childs imagination to run free in their new home away from home. The indoor childrens teepees will keep your kids entertained for long periods of time and will avoid the mess of having them build their own fort. These teepees are very well crafted. Made of eucalyptus hard wood and complete with a cotton canvas, which includes a 2-flap front opening, they are perfect for a bedroom, living room or playroom

Giving your house a little bit of a makeover is a great project to tackle during spring. Whether you’re looking for something small, like painting, or something big, like adding an awesome new playground, now is a good a time as any to get to work and check out these Remodeling Projects Any Homeowner Can Tackle This Spring!

This would be so amazing. We got a new puppy that has eater trim and a hole in the carpet in our family room. Now that she has stopped, we have to replace it all so we are going to repaint at the same time.
