Just in time for Valentine's Day Ricotta and Tomato Heart Shaped Pizza that is not “diet food”!

In my opinion this is a restaurant style pizza  pie and it is sooo great to see and know that you can still have a real slice of pizza on Weight Watchers if you follow recipes like those from https://www.instagram.com/ww.italianwifey/.  

Her recipes are proof that weight watchers is not a diet but a really fun, delicious and doable life plan!

So how did this Ricotta and Tomato Heart Shaped Pizza – Each Slice is Four points on Weight Watchers Green come to fruition? According to Marianne aka https://www.instagram.com/ww.italianwifey/  she had some ricotta that she needed to use and came up with this recipe and of course she is very proud of the way it turned out!

She used the 2-ingredient dough crust. Actually, nothing is off limits on WW. That’s the beauty of the plan. I just weigh and measure my food or ingredients when cooking to make sure she stays within her daily points.

Think of a drizzle of a good balsamic over this pizza – Yum! How about adding spinach? Then it will be the colors of the Italian flag ! You have options!

How great is it that we can all enjoy PIZZA on the Weight Watchers plan! This recipe is for those of you on green! Keep reading for all the details!

Ricotta and Tomato Heart Shaped Pizza - Each Slice is Four points on Weight Watchers Green

Ricotta and Tomato Heart Shaped Pizza 

Ingredients:

1 cup Gold Medal self rising Flour 11 points on Green
1 cup Oikos Plain nonfat Greek Yogurt 3 points on Green
14 1/2 oz. well drained no salt added Diced Tomatoes 0 points on Green
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 0 points
2 pinch Kosher Salt 0 points
4 oz. Trader Joe's Almond Mozzarella style shreds cheese alternative 4 points on Green
7 oz. Frigo Low fat ricotta cheese 6 points
1/3 cup sliced leaves Basil 0 points

Directions:
1. Drain the tomatoes. Do this an hour before making the pizza draining over a bowl to make sure they are well drained.
2. Spray a pizza pan with olive oil cooking spray. Mix the flour, yogurt, salt and garlic powder together in a bowl with a spatula.Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth using flour on your hands as needed. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to fit a 14″ round pizza pan. Pre-bake for 10-15 minutes to desired color.
3. Mix ricotta with basil and a pinch of salt. Set aside. Spread mozzarella on pre-baked crust. Top with drained tomatoes and dollop ricotta on top. Bake an additonal 10-15 minutes to desired doneness.

This recipe is a for 14” pizza. Cut it into 6 hefty sized slices. each slice is 4 points per slice on Green
