I’ll admit it , I’ve always wanted to fly in someone’s “beautiful balloon” and so when Hershey asked me if I’d like to take a ride in theirs, to kick off The Hershey Company launch of their new Hershey’s Air Delight Chocolate with a sky-high tasting experience at the site of the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, in Whitehouse Station, NJ well they had me at sky-high chocolate tasting. And of course, getting to hang with one of my fave bloggers Amy at www.selfishmom.com was like the icing on the cake!
And of course getting a helicopter ride over NYC to get to and from the Balloon festival site, well let’s just say flying over my city, and seeing Lady liberty had me slightly ferklempt! ( Talk amongst yourselves!)
So does this new Hershey’s aerated chocolate stand up to my very DISCERNING chocolate palette? UM HECK YEES!! It is melt in your mouth, fluffy, you don’t even need to bite it, just pure delicious goodness- by far- my candy of the month choice for August (because everyone has to have a candy of the month right?) Like they say- you have NEVER tasted chocolate bubbles quite like these and they’ve got the Hershey’s Air Delight in kisses and bar form!
And the coolest part is that throughout the weekend, festival attendees can enjoy a hot air balloon ride while experiencing the new aerated chocolate in take-home bars and Hershey’s Kisses chocolates.
So readers if you are smart ( and of course you are because you’re a Thestatenislandfamily.com reader) this weekend you will check out the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, in Whitehouse Station, NJ which is chock full of hot air ballooning ( while chomping on Hershey’s Air delights) as well as a cannon ball lady, The Quick Chek Entertainment Tent featuring: Comedy, Jugglers, Musical Performances, kid’s activities, carnival rides, a FRIDAY night fireworks extravaganza, and a SATURDAY night Ballloon glow and really just so much fun; information.
