When it comes to this post Step Up Your Vegan and Veggie Game with these Good Eats – well I’m all over it!

Step Up Your Vegan and Veggie Game with these Good Eats

Putting myself and my health at the top of the list fueled my desire to really be cognizant of what I feed my body and soul. It only made sense to me to first go vegetartain and slolwy ease into a vegan lifestyle.

The more I read the more I learned that eating more plant-based foods put me at a lower risk of diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. But because I feel it is more humane not to harm the animals with whom we share this planet. Veganism is also one of the best ways to fight factory farming, animal cruelty, and reduce an environmental impact.

Should you GO VEGAN? HealthLabs.com Has a Test For you!

Since avoiding dairy and completely avoiding meat I lost those stubborn last 5-10 lbs that have plagued me since the birth of my son 13 years ago (my daughter also lost about 10 lbs since becoming strictly vegan).

As far as our enjoyment of food and life, we  make eggless french toast, cashew-based macaroni and cheese, and drink almond milk that is dairy-free, and we love it.

All this being said it has been a little difficult coming up with meals and satisfying foods on a regular basis so we basically eat the same meals week after week which becomes a little predictable.

So it was with much anticipation that we were given the opportunity to sample the Good Eats box. In fact we cooked and ate the food the same day we received it and were so pleased we will be adding them all to our regular menus.

We were given three frozen entrees and ate them all with gusto and were so pleased they fit our lifestyle. I will discuss each one and the enjoyment each gave us. And I direct you to purchase the products here.

To begin with we had Birds Eye Oven Roasters Sheet Pan Vegetables which were broccoli and cauliflower which were so delectable and perfectly seasoned. We cooked them in 20 minutes and they were so easy to make. These veggies are perfectly pre-seasoned to allow for deliciously crispy texture right on your single sheet pan.

As the leader in frozen vegetables, Birds Eye has worked tirelessly to make vegetables irresistibly delicious for nearly a century.  They make them easier to buy, store, prepare, and serve. They make it good to eat vegetables.

We also were able to sample Nashville Hot Chick’n Tenders from Gardein and if spice is sometimes missing from my cooking these had just the right amount of kick to satisfy anyone. These were meatless and vegan certified but you would never know it.

They were really delicious and had a great taste and texture. I know these will be my go to when I need a hot and spicy option. Juicy plant- based chick’n breaded with a kick of spice. They have proprietary pea and wheat protein, Gardein has brought a whole new wave of inspiration to the kitchen.

Always certified vegan, non-GMO, dairy free, and kosher.  Most importantly they are preservative free, free from artificial colors, flavors and cholesterol.

Our meal was not without an international flare. We had the Healthy Choice Power Bowl Falafel and Tahini which was also another great vegan choice. For this one we used the microwave and it was cooked in under 5 minutes.

Power Bowls plant based meals bring together combinations of ingredients like legumes, ancient grains, colorful vegetables and leafy greens to create delicious recipes that are a good source of protein and no cholesterol. Crispy falafel, red onions and tomatoes combine perfectly with a creamy sesame tahini sauce, all on top of a nutrient-rich assortment of whole grains and leafy greens, like red quinoa, black barley and kale.

This one will also be a meal we will keep in mind when we need something different with a Mediterranean flare.

I am always looking for great food that fits our lifestyle and these three all satisfied us. I do not think my kids will complain that we don’t eat tasty spicy food anymore. So are you ready to Step Up Your Vegan and Veggie Game with these Good Eats ?! Let me know!

That all looks so good! It’s amazing what they’re doing with vegan food these days. I’m a total carnivore, and it makes even me consider giving up meat.
