Street Style Looks for Teens Styled By Madison (aka How to STYLE a Sweater!)

March 3, 2015 by Melissa Chapman 1 Comment

I’m a woo-woo girl. My daughter is not. What do I mean by woo-woo? I get overly excited about things, my daughter does not. And I’ve found this is THE HARDEST PART of parenting. Realizing that your child is her own unique individual person and accepting that she is not and will never be, EXACTLY what you want her to be. I know that sounds completely egotistical- as though I had a child and harbored expectations of her being a certain personality (one that was JUST LIKE MINE) and that in being so alike we’d just walk off into the sunset together. Of course those sunsets are the lore of fairy tales, because the reality of children and the raising of them is that, in the process, you realize that they are on loan to you.

They are not yours, there can be no expectation on your part of anything and all the love you lavish on them – should be because you want to help them become the person they were destined to be- even if that person is not who YOU wanted or envisioned they would be. That is not to say that my daughter is not, in my eyes the most perfect and precious of creatures that have ever roamed this earth- to me she is my everything- but our personalities could not be more different. Which brings me to the fact that I am a woo- woo girl and she is not, EXCEPT when it comes to styling outfits and shopping. In those moments my daughter is in her element, she is as WOO WOO as she can get- and well- I will do anything to support that gleam in her eye and her desire to express herself through her fashion sense and style.

So with that being said, and the realization that having a child, a daughter, has taught me to honor her vision, her independence and to help her grow and shine in her own light- ( and NOT IN MY SHADOW) here are four Fall looks Styled by Madison and TOTALLY swoonworthy ( in my mama’s humble opinion!) and ones that will most definitely not break the bank!

Madison’s street-style looks for teens nailed that effortless cool vibe—layered hoodies, baggy jeans, chunky sneakers, and pops of color made everyday outfits feel fresh and confident without trying too hard. When building my own teen wardrobe on a budget got overwhelming with endless trends, https://uniqlo.pissedconsumer.com/review.html helped spot reliable basics that mix perfectly. Timeless pieces arrived comfy and durable. Now styling feels easy, fun, and always on point.
