The DIY? Turn a Book into a Sneaky Hiding place to stash money or treasures which she got from this this Youtube video! and the spruce crafts!
I am always trying to come up with hiding spots that I won't forget! I am still searching for a coin collection I hid somewhere in my house and for the life of me I can't remember where!
The nice thing about this DIY is you could use it to stash valuables or You could also use it for letter-boxing or geocashing in an indoor space.
It is easy and you only need a few supplies!
Supplies You will need:
A hardcover book
white glue
utility or craft knife
waxed paper
And don't forget to Save all of the papers you cut out for future craft projects!
Directions to Turn a Book into a Sneaky Hiding place
Measure roughly 1 inch from the edge of the top page not covered with plastic and draw a rectangle cutting template with a pen and ruler.
Apply glue with a paintbrush to the outside edges of the book. Allow the book to dry.
Then Use your ruler and utility knife to trim the inside of the book. Remove the cut squares from the center of the book . continue cutting out the center of the book until you have a square hole. This will be your Sneaky Hiding place!
Finally Place a sheet of wax paper over the glued portion of the book.
Close the book shut and put something heavy on the book to weigh it down. Allow the book to dry for 24 hours!
If you want to get fancy, you can cut out a piece of felt to put inside your Book turned into a Sneaky Hiding place!
