For the past 18 years of my marriage ( not including the ones I lived in sin) each night my husband has NEEDED to play a sports radio channel the entire night in order to lull himself to sleep and then to Stay asleep. I think when he was practicing medicine for 25 years and could not sleep through the night- because he’d be anticipating getting called in for an emergency dialysis at 2 am in Brooklyn- this sports radio station was his constant companion. And because I adored my husband so- this same sports radio station became my constant nighttime companion. Suffice it to say I know FAR MORE than any person needs to know about the politics of every sport known to mankind and the MINUTIAE and exhaustive analysis men who are up at 2am and calling into a sports radio show feel the need to debate. I always tell my husband- if we could HARNESS the passion of these sports fanatics– WE COULD RULE THIS WORLD. (he has never, nor will he ever, be amused by said comment).
Although I now feel a VERY STRONG KINSHIP with these same callers and sports late night radio hosts- I would GIVE MY LEFT ARM for something else to lull my husband to sleep. I know what you are thinking- and *THAT* DOESN’T do the trick. No I need to bring in the big guns and decided this year we will be using Verizon to get the job done!
I’m pretty stoked about getting a chance to partner up with Verizon Fios as one of their ambassadors for another six months which means – not only do I get to STREAM all my favorite shows (IN BED) with my husband, but I also get to curate fabulous content from them to share with my readers. It is a win-win for everyone.
So this month to celebrate mini -milestones ( like getting my husband to watch a show on Verizon Fios with me as opposed to listening to the radio) to fall asleep I’ve compiled a list of movies and TV episodes that highlight various marital achievements. Whatever “firsts” your marriage is celebrating this month Verizon Fios can relate. And To help sweeten the deal Enjoy a Free On Demand Marathon. Watch current and classic TV series, blockbuster movies, select premium entertainment and more at no cost from 4.21 through 4.30 on Verizon #FiosNY Get ALL the deets here:
As we get older, milestones are few and far between. Landing your dream job, getting married, having a baby. These Verizon Fios shows below are the QUINTESSENTIAL way to CELEBRATE such milestones.
New Job: The Office

Getting Married: My Fair Wedding with David Tutera
Having a Baby: What to Expect When You’re Expecting
Life as a Parent: Parenthood
Running for Office: Parks & Recreation

Buying a Home: House Hunters
And Mini milestones deserve a mini reward, like these Cherry Tart pie pops, that use sour cherries for that added tart punch, and their signature heart peek-a-boo crustis adorable, fun and easily versatile.
Of course, you can use the heart peek-a-boo crust on any of the berry pie pops, but the red cherry heart just fits so beautifully. Bake them with love and get the recipe here
This post is written on behalf of Verizon Fios as part of my participation with their #FIOSNY program, but as is always the case all opinions expressed are my own.

Dilot a good shows to watch that you suggested here. I also love those pie pops. Those look adorable in maybe I can even make them for our family.
Being able to stream all of those shows will be super nice. You definitely have to celebrate all of those mini milestones!
I wish Verizon Fios was available here. The office is one of my favorite shows. It is a good one for binge watching.
I would love to try Verizon Fios. I just signed up for a cell phone plan with them last night and wish I had some Comcast competition here.
We have verizon… been their customer forever but I had not heard about this so thank you for sharing, will check into it.
My husband and I love watching Parks and Recreation! Honestly watching tv late night while the kids are sleeping, are the ultimate date night for me!
