I am the first to admit it: Before I got married, my idea of preparing a meal was heating up Chinese take-out food in the microwave. Eventually, at the behest of my newlywed husband who wanted a “home-cooked meal on the table every night,” I tried my hand at cooking pasta. ( I never thought I’d be in the kitchen whipping up Weight Watchers 1 point chocolate chip cookies from scratch but I digress!)
My fatal flaw was that while the pasta was boiling in the pot, I took a shower and conveniently forgot about it until the smoke alarm went off and a mini fire erupted in the kitchen. Suffice it to say, I am not one of those moms who can whip up vegetable baked ziti or bake raisin scones.
Despite my lack of cooking skills, my daughter’s been asking me recently if we can start baking dinner together. So, I’m slowly inching my way back into the kitchen and we’ve actually prepared some tasty meals together.
The best part about cooking with my kids is that while we’re working together, dicing vegetables or measuring out condiments, we manage to have the best conversations talking about things I’d usually have to beg her to share with me, And this Weight Watchers 1 point chocolate chip cookies recipe is a perfect activity that parents and kids can take part in together, rather than attempt forced conversation.
Below you will find the ingredient list along with the directions to make these yummy Weight Watchers cookies! Only 1 Smart Point means I can count these into my day as a snack!

Oh yum!!! With trying to eat healthier for the new year, but still having quite a bit of a sweet tooth, I’m definitely going to have to try these cookies.
Those cookies look amazing! I’m definitely adding them to my repertoire. (Sorry about your pasta fail.)
These look so good! I am working on being a tad more healthier, so I’d give this a try for sure. I’m not on WW, but I always like to taste new things.
I loved the flowers and the can you have them in. As for your daughter and you cooking together that is great. My son and I do this as well because I know then he will talk to me like your daughter does. Although cooking isn’t my forte either I could see taking a shower and the smoke alarm going off. Although for me I would be watching TV or on the computer.
That is delicious perfect chocolate chip cookies with few ingredients, oats, peanut butter and chocolate chips makes every thing perfect.
We have been eating better and this looks right up our alley! It’s hard to find a dessert that will make everyone happy and still fulfill our desire to eat better. Really trying to make this life change work!

This is something I need to try. Maybe we’ll make them this weekend.
These are really good. I love them, too. I have to mash the cookies down with a glass though, or they don’t seem cookie like to me.
These look sooo yummy! I can hardly believe they are only one point. Wow!
These cookies look really good! You can’t go wrong with 1 point cookies, even if you’re not on Weight Watchers!
I have made this recipe before and they are good. I love the chewiness you get out of them plus that bit of chocolate taste we all and crave.
We love chocolate chip cookies but never tried it with banana. But guess what, we love banana so I’m definitely going to try this. Yum!
I love this idea of baking chocolate chip cookies that both kids and parents can enjoy. Old fashioned oats in cookies look interesting!
Thank-you! This is a great recipe! Although I hope you put “home cooked meals on the table” because YOU want to, not because the hubby expects it 🙂
