Homemade Yeast Sandwich Rolls
And while there are plenty of options for low point bread out there, the truth is that nothing can compare to homemade sandwich rolls!
Check out all the pics of the process below! Consider this post your encouragement to tackle creating your very own homemade bread.

Weight Watchers Homemade Sandwich Rolls
Ingredients:
2 cups of Bread Flour
3/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp of instant rapid rise yeast.
1 egg
pinch of salt (toss the salt in away from the yeast, yeast doesn’t like direct contact with salt.)
Directions:
Combine in a stand mixer with dough hook above ingredients.
Mix until dough forms then keep on mixing for another 4-7 minutes (kneading), I like to help the mixer along by removing the dough from the hook, putting back into the bowl a few times during the kneading process. Do this until the dough is elastic, you should end up with a nice tacky, not sticky ball of dough. Your hands come away clean after handling the dough.
Remove the dough ball, spray the inside of mixing bowl with Pam, return dough to bowl, flip over (so it’s oiled on both sides) cover and keep in a warm area for 1 1/2-2 hrs.
After the 1st rise, I divided the dough into 10 equal balls, flatten them out a little with a rolling pin, place them on a cookie sheet, lightly cover and let them rise again for another 1 1/2 hr. in a warm place.
Now that your dough is looking a lot more like a sandwich roll, heat your oven to 375 degrees.
Bake 17-20 minutes, they should sound hollow when you tap on them.
Weight Watchers Homemade Sandwich Rolls -three points each on all plans- makes 10 rolls!
Notes: Slice in half to eat with your favorite filling. I used mine today with egg Salad.
Also, can be eaten like an English muffin with a Sugar Free Preserve or light butter for breakfast.
If you want to cut this recipe in half use 1 cup of flour with 1 egg and 1/3 cup of applesauce, ½ tsp of salt, ½ tsp of instant rapid rise yeast.
