Celebrate FriendsGiving Netflix Style With These Bingeworthy Series is a sponsored post
“A friend is a connection to life; A tie to the past, a road to the future; a key to sanity in a totally insane world.” ~unknown
I know it sounds all kinds of cliche and even slightly vomit-inducing, and even as I’m about to type it up I think I might have just vomited a bit in my mouth but the truth of the matter is my husband is my best friend. And the crazy part is that our relationship, was not initially predicated on friendship. To be perfectly honest, our friendship is very odd.
We don’t really enjoy any of the same hobbies. I like to binge watch NETFLIX till my eyes bleed and he likes to listen to sports radio. He goes running every day- the one time I went running with him I developed these very unsightly purple veins on my legs and never ran again until ….this past month and now we are FINALLY after almost 23 years of marriage Running buddies.I like SUGAR with everything- he likes it all plain.
And truly the list goes on. But when it comes to the stuff that REALLY matters, needing someone to listen to me talk, holding my hand during the really tough parts of this life’s journey- he is the one who is there by my side- and someone I can always rely on to make a really off-colored comment or joke that makes me smile. Our friendship is based on little things- little details that when strung together are what gives me strength and a sense of security and hope in the face of any kind of odds.
So when Thanksgiving with Family which I now refer to as Friendsgiving (a popular take on Thanksgiving when friends come together to celebrate good food and great company) rolls around I could not imagine writing about anyone but my husband and HOW EXCITED I am to get under the covers on the couch with him (as he is my family and my BFF) and DIVE DEEP INTO BINGE WATCHING!
