These Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies right here are SO GOOD! No eggs or dairy required and if you follow weight watchers these are just 2 points each!

Thanks Angela for sharing this recipe. I actually got the recipe at a weight watchers meeting in 1993. Here’s the recipe!
Chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
4. 1/2 oz quick oats
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp salt
2 oz mini chocolate chips
1/4 cup boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
2 T thawed apple juice
1/2 cup low cal margarine
Mix brown sugar. Applesauce. Apple juice. Margarine it will look curdled. Boil water mix baking soda and vanilla add to sugar mixture. Add the rest of ingredients. Preheat oven to 350. Drop by tablespoon full on sprayed pan.

How long do you bake the cookies for??
How long do you recommend to cook the cookies? And can you confirm the amount of oats? Is it 4-1/2 oz or 1/2 oz of oats? It’s noted differently in two different places. And one last question, Do you boil the water before adding the baking soda and vanilla? I’m a novice in the kitchen but am eager to learn, Thanks.
