Cream cheese corn

Thanks Angela for sharing with us!

This is one of my family’s favorite side dishes, cream cheese corn. I have been making it since I was taught the recipe by the electric company in home ec in 7th grade in the mid 70’s, of course everything was full fat ingredients.

Even though I now use fat free, trust me it’s still delicious! Enjoy!

the entire dish has 5 points, cream cheese 4 and lite butter 1. I would say 5 servings so one point per serving on weight watchers!

Ingredients
1 12oz. Frozen Corn
4 oz. Fat Free Cream Cheese
1 T. Light Butter
1/3 c. Skim Milk
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 T. Dried or Fresh Chives(optional)

Instructions
Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan, cook on medium heat until everything is melted and combined and just starting to bubble. Turn down to medium low until corn is completely cooked, stir often. If to thick add additional milk 1/8 cup at a time until nice and creamy (con should not be watery looking).
