And speaking of hacks to whip up an easy breezy taco tuesday night — this recipe is also the perfect hacks for a birthday party! and the easiest way to avoid throwing a huge  mealtime party.

If you have a party between mealtimes all you have to serve this Overstuffed Tex Mex Quesadilla and you can avoid the expense and trouble of serving an actual four course meal. After lunch and before dinner is a perfect time for the party.

Believe me it is easy to get caught up in the hype and I think many of us parents do it from a place of true love for our kids and wanting to give our little humans a day that will prove to them just how special they are and how dear they are to our hearts ( as though being there to clean up all their vomit, wipe their little behinds and feed them night and day doesn’t already illustrate that point- but I digress!)

The truth is I think many of us yearn for a birthday celebration that won’t require that we spend $500.00  I am all for having a little celebration, sing happy birthday,  some food and refreshments, open presents and not break the bank. So how can you do this without your kid being the wiser?

keep reading to hacks to help you keep your birthday costs down while keeping your kids happy and content!

Have the party at home. You don’t have to take the kids to some expensive venue. Have the party at home, have some traditional party games and everybody has fun. Some games you can try are depending on the child’s age are Freeze Dance, Musical Chairs, Charades, Three-Legged Race, Duck, Duck, Goose!

Forget the Themed partyware-use old fashioned white paper plates and cups! When you serve the cake, pizza, or ice cream no kid really looks at the plate and says I want Spiderman or Batman they eat it make their mess and everything gets thrown out the same way minus the expensive of 50 cents a plate at a party store

Remember the Dollar Store. You can get tablecloths, balloons and favors much cheaper here and let’s face it kids will break their favor or balloon within 30 minutes anyway so no need to spend a lot on going home goodie bags.

Send out invitations via email that way you don’t have to spend on invitations, stamps and you can get an immediate response most of the time.

Do you feel the pressure to make their birthday perfect? What are some of your Birthday Party Hacks?
