If you miss chips, these mouth-watering air fried cheddar flavored chickpeas are a tasty alternative. Have you ever had like Wasabi peas or corn nuts? They have a similar texture.
They’re not quite as hard as nuts, but they are a little harder than chips. Be sure to check out our list of the best Weight Watchers snacks to take on the go. And if you’re not already a Weight Watchers member, sign up using my link to start for just $10/month.

Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- avocado cooking spray
- Kernel Season white cheddar seasoning (you’ll want to keep this on hand for SO many other recipes, too)
Instructions
I drain the liquid out of the can and lay them on a plate on top of a paper towel for a few minutes and then put them in the air fryer
Cook your chickpeas for 15-16 minutes at 390 then add your spray and seasoning.
VERY IMPORTANT: To store roasted chickpeas, cook them a little longer at a lower temp until they are really cooked. Mine stay crispy all week in Tupperware. Make sure they are totally cooled before storage. I cool mine in the open container in the fridge.
Store at room temperature in an unsealed container (but covered by a paper towel or dish towel). This will allow air to circulate and any remaining moisture to evaporate from the garbanzos, preventing sogginess. You can also use a glass jar, so long as you leave the lid cracked open. The chickpeas’ optimal texture should last up to five days. thanks to food republic
Other ideas:
You can also coat half in pb2 powder and the other half in coco and sweetener and air fry them like that to make a “Reese’s coco puff” type of snack. I’m going to try it along with your suggestion!
Another thing you should try, roasting radishes. They cook up and taste like potatoes but without all the carbs. Radishes have 7 carbs and potatoes have 37 carbs.
