Chocolate Butternut Squash Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup mashed/precooked butternut squash
- 1/4 cup cassava flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Truvia Sweet complete brown sugar calorie-free sweetener
- 1/4 cup unsweetened appleasauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F (180C)
- Line square 1 glass baking pan with parchment, and spray it lightly with oil
- Peel and cook (or bake) butternut squash till soft, and set aside to cool off completely (doing this ahead of time, or the day prior is a good idea)
- Mush it till smooth
- Mix all of the ingredients until completely combined—I just used a spoon
- Pour the mixture into the baking pan and smooth the top with a spoon
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until toothpick test comes out clean
Notes: Sweet potato can be used instead of butternut squash, but it will result in a bit more points.
