Spicy baked French fries
Fresh from the oven and so easy to prepare, these fries are ready to serve in just 30 minutes. Egg whites are the secret weapon, helping the spices adhere to the fries and helping to crisp the potatoes.

Add a little cayenne pepper to bring some heat or use smoked paprika to add a smoky hit. Serve with your favorite burger or hot dog recipe.

Make as a great snack or movie night treat. Sweet potatoes work well here too. Bake a blended batch for a fun presentation. Be sure to keep an eye on the oven during broiling to ensure a perfect outcome.

thanks to Debbie

Ingredients

  • 2 large, raw potatoes cut into thin strips
  • 2 large egg whites
  • Spicy ranch seasoning (we love this one!)
  • ½ tsp table salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a nonstick baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; toss to coat.

Transfer to the baking sheet. Bake until potatoes are barely tender, about 15 minutes. Increase the oven temperature to broil; broil until crispy, about 10 minutes. Serve at once.
