This is a great early fall recipe and has zero points on Weight Watchers. We love how satisfying and filling it is!
Thanks to Donna who says she usually gets a bag each fall and make applesauce and apple pie but this year I was dreaming of skillet apples when I got home. 🍎

Ingredients
- 5 to 6 fresh apples
- A few pumps of I Can’t Believe it’s not Butter spray
- Sweetener of your choice (I usually like to use Lakanto)
- Apple pie spice (1 to 2 teaspoons, we love this one)
- Water as needed
Instructions
- I just peeled and cut up 5 to 6 apples, heated my vintage cast iron skillet (you could probably use any skillet you have).
- Added a few pumps of I Can’t Believe it’s not Butter spray, put apples, sweetener of your choice, and apple pie spice (1-2 tsp) in pan.
- Stirred and cooked down until they were soft. You will want to keep an eye on them and stir occasionally to keep them from buring.
- I added a little water at one point to help the “steaming” process along. No need to cover them.
