Sweet Apple Pie Rolls 3 points each which was Inspired by I Am Baker Apple Fritter Sweet Rolls

Sweet Apple Pie Rolls – makes 16 servings and each is 3 points on Weight Watchers.
Ingredients:
2 cups of All Purpose flour
3/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp of instant rapid rise yeast (Bread machine yeast).
1 egg
1 tbsp of Raw Turbinado Sugar
½ tsp salt
Directions:
Combine above ingredients in a stand mixer with dough hook.
Mix on low until dough forms then keep on mixing for another 4-7 minutes (kneading), I like to help the mixer along by removing the dough from the hook, putting it back into the bowl a few times during the kneading process. Do this until the inside of the bowl is clean of loose flour, you should end up with a nice tacky, not sticky ball of dough.
Remove the dough ball, spray the inside of mixing bowl with cooking spray, return dough to bowl, flip over (so it’s oiled on both sides) keep in a warm area for 2 hrs. to proof. I put the bowl in a non-heated oven.
While your dough is in the oven proofing you can do the filling:
4 Medium apples, I used Fuji, I like to leave the skin on, diced small
½ cup Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. of Sugar in Raw
1 tbsp. of Cinnamon
Toss your diced apples with cinnamon & sugars add to saucepan, cook for 5-7 minutes.
Remove from pan and place in a bowl to cool.
Roll out your dough on a lightly floured surface, to a 16 x 10” rectangle, ¼” thick.
Reserve ½ cup of filling, Spoon filling onto dough, spreading it out but leave a ½” or so clear around edges.
Roll from long side to long side as tight as possible forming a long log.
Using a sharp knife, slice 16 equal pieces and place in a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
Top with reserved apple filling.
Bake 350 for 30 minutes or until golden brown. No glaze needed with these.
To Freeze: Pre bake 350 for 15 minutes, then let cool completely, wrap in saran wrap then put in a freezer lock bag, store in freezer up to 3 weeks. Thaw in fridge overnight then bake 350 until golden brown and heated through another 15-20 minutes.
